Suppresses ground noise including electromagnetic interference (EMI) in UPS applications using a configurable digital filter.

CURRENT TRANSDUCER SENSITIVITY

Battery Ground Current Accuracy: ±1.0% F.S. Accurately measures leakage up to 500 mA from the battery cabinet or rack to ground.

CUSTOM CURRENT TRANSDUCER

Over time, batteries can corrode and leak. If the leaking electrolyte makes contact with the metal cabinet or rack, it can short the battery to the cabinet or rack. The BGM-500 measures current that flows from the battery to earth ground. When the system spots a current above the configurable threshold value, it sends notifications about battery ground failures via SNMP, Modbus, an internal web server, on-board LED and alarm contacts.

OPERATOR SAFETY

Protect your team members, battery room, and ensure battery room safety. Shorted cells will overheat and potentially go into “Thermal Runaway”. Unintended ground faults and short-circuiting can expose field service personnel to electric shock, dangerous thermal conditions, and fire.
