S5 UPS Battery Validation & Monitoring System

The 5th generation S5 System utilizes unique patented early warning technology to predict the identity of specific UPS backup batteries that will need to be replaced. The identification and replacement of weakened or faulty batteries is vital for any business that seeks to eliminate all possible causes of data corruption, network interruptions and critical system crashes.

Compact and modular in design, the S5 can be configured for easy installation with most UPS battery systems. The self-contained S5 records and stores all related data without the need for external computers.

Available standard communications include Ethernet, dial-up modem, RS232 serial, USB port or TCP/IP MODBUS. Also available are six programmable dry-contacts and four digital inputs for user defined applications.

Standard Microsoft Windows compatible BVM Software is simple to use and capable of single site or dispersed multi site applications.

S5 Portable Impedance Tester

The S5 Portable brings the patented BTECH predictive technology utilized in the S5 Modular System to technical staff members who need to evaluate individual batteries.

The S5 Portable can measure and store data for up to 15 battery sites. Stored battery data can be later transferred to a computer via USB or serial port. The S5 Portable can operate up to 8 hours with a fully charged battery.

BVS Software Battery Manager

The BVS Software Battery Manager greatly reduces time required to collect and analyze battery data. The software also records the duration and time of all power interruptions and outages. Clear easy to read graphics display related voltage, current and wattage used during each power event.

Powerful graphical displays are provided to trend changing parameters of each battery in the system. Amber and red alert thresholds help staff members optimize maintenance or replacement decisions.

Battery and ambient room temperature analysis helps to identify environmental issues or thermal runaway conditions.
