BTECH Announces BVM 4.2 Software Release
BTECH announces availability of the newest BVM software package BVM 4.2 to all software program subscribers. The listing below provides a brief summary of several new feature and performance enhancements the new Battery Validation Manager 4.2 software package delivers to users of BTECH S5 Battery Monitoring Systems.
Observer Service
The Observer product now functions as a Windows service and will automatically gather data on a PC or server without the need for a user to log-on. The Observer Service will collect data, receive alarms and notify personnel on a continuous basis even if the host computer is unattended.
BVS Status Monitor Alarm Notification
Customers receive alarm notification visually via screen pop-ups or audible tone.
New Battery Installation Detection Feature
The “battery installation feature” detects when a battery is installed (replaced) and then prompts users to update the installation date record for that unit. This new capability is extremely valuable for warranty and related record keeping. Also, the software has a reminder message for users who may not have had the time to update the installation dates due to other work priorities.
Battery System Discharge Summary Feature
Battery system discharge data provides valuable insight to the condition of your battery system under load as well as helps to identify any differences between planned and actual system loads. To facilitate speedy one touch access to this valuable information the new software summarizes discharge data into the overall Battery System Analysis Report.
Average Calculated Power Feature
The amount of backup power utilized during power interruptions and outages can vary significantly due to factors like time of day and duration. This new Average Power Feature calculates average power usage during an outage to give customers a quick overview of backup battery system performance.
Temperature Sensor Map Feature
This valuable feature allows temperature sensors to be graphically mapped into the system “Status View” giving customers quick and easy access to battery temperature related data.
